Spoleto

This walled medieval hill town occupies the geographic center of Italy and is simply a delight to wander. Old shops line the narrow streets and are still used by artisans and boutiques.

Filled with archways and balconies adorned with flower boxes, you can spend hours exploring and discovering interesting shops, churches, art galleries, restaurants and gelaterias. A stroll along the city’s ancient wall will bring you to the Ponte delle Torre, a 14th century viaduct connected to a six towered fortress that once was used to guard the city from invaders. Only a one hour drive from El Olivar, a visit to Spoleto is an easy day trip.
