As you enter the main gate of the villa and make your way toward the house you will drive 100 meters down a road flanked by  giant pine trees on your left and an olive grove  on your right. The grove provides the first cold pressed extra virgin olive oil that you will enjoy during your stay at El Olivar. More importantly the 11 acres of grounds create a wonderful feeling of privacy and “insulation” from the world despite the fact that there are neighbours outside the front gate and the small town of Otricoli is 7 minutes away. There is also a large vegetable garden on the grounds where you can help yourself to..,zucchini, beans, carrots, cucumbers, onions, tomatoes, arugula, lettuce, rosemary, basil, parsley, bay leaves, capers, capsicum, peppers, oregano, thyme and sage you will enjoy will truly be straight from the garden to your plate. On one end of the olive grove nearest the house is the swimming pool which is surrounded by olive trees, lavender and rosemary. Sitting poolside on a hot sunny day you will be constantly reminded that you are in someplace special right in the heart of Italy.
